With our online backup service, you can store an unlimited number of versions of the same file. We will make a recommendation based on compliancy laws that apply to your office. So, if you have certain files or databases that you update every day or every week, you can always go back to a previous version if needed. Go back to yesterday. Go back to last year. Plus, you never again have to worry about accidentally deleting the information in a file or overwriting a file by mistake. Of course, you probably won’t want to keep unlimited versions of all of your files because this would use up a lot of storage space. That is why we offer a powerful revision rule wizard that lets us manage how old versions of files are stored.

FILE COMPRESSION, TO SAVE YOU STORAGE SPACE

Before your files are encrypted, they are compressed using state-of-the-art compression technology. This compression ensures that it will take less time to perform your backup. And because each file is significantly smaller, you use less storage space leaving more available to use.

448 BIT ENCRYPTION, ENTERPRISE BUILT ENCRYPTION

Central Data Storage provides security both in flight and rest using 448 bit encryption technology. Only you will have access to this encryption key. It can never be accessed on our servers. This means that only you can access your online backup files. Each file that you backup is encrypted using this key and remains encrypted until you restore it and it returns to your computer.

CDS uses two data centers to redundantly store critical office data that is managed daily by the technical team. The Omaha, Nebraska facility is the first Tier IV, LEED registered facility of its kind in the region. Built to withstand the most rigorous weather conditions, including 250 mph winds, the center is equipped with state of the art physical and electronic security systems. With NIST, PCI, SAS7O and many other certifications and standards, the Midlands Data Center is one of the few centers that will meet the newest OSHA guidelines.

TWO OFF-SITE DATA CENTERS

Your data is stored (in encrypted form) redundantly in our SAS 70 Type II certified data backup centers which are located far apart from each other. The data center facility has 24/7 monitoring and advanced security measures such as biometric controlled access.

The building receives electricity from three separate power feeds on a spot network that provides for automatic failover capabilities. The Data Center maintains level current and short term power backup through a complex UPS system, and protects against possible long-term power failures with two 1.5 megawatt diesel generators. Ideal temperature and humidity is accurately controlled with redundant cooling systems.

Equipment is protected by a pre-action, dry pipe fire suppression system. A high level of security is maintained through a five level system that includes access codes, a security guard station, biometric hand scanners, electronic proximity readers and security cameras.

OFF-SITE STORAGE

With Central Data Storage, all backed up data is automatically transmitted to two off-site, geographically dispersed, data centers via a secure Internet channel. If you are currently storing backups on portable media, such as tapes or disks, at your home or business, this online method would prevent the loss of data in the event of a natural or man-made disaster such as fire or theft. If you do bring portable media backups off-site, our solution eliminates the hassle of having to physically transport backup media to a facility.
